| Reaped | *sings* it's a beautiful mornin but please, hold the senecol. i love it when the sun shines on our building. The parking gargage reflects the glass paneling like a sparkling puddle. from the view of the third floor the cars fly over the skyline, racing west on I-10 at eye level; thick white smoke of a nefarious origin pours from the rooftop of charity hospital. the sky is a hazy washed out orange, punctured here and there with antennas and the occasional helicopter. that's what i see, in varying degrees of weather, every day. tonight we're going to see Naqoyqatsi. It's one a them 'art pikchers', up at Canal Place meaning i gotta dress in black and act civilized, i.e., its a beefeater martini night in heels. I'm gonna wear my antique lace vest my mom gave me, since its vaguely in style and 'vintage'. woo hoo! hope i run into philip glass (a po-mo composer--did the music), so i can say, "i heard a story about you doing coke in a nyc bathroon once, was it true? got any more?" remember kids, drugs are bad, but art, however, is good. another interesting facet of this workplace: we are ADA compliant. Meaning the doors to the bathrooms open & close automatically. Handy? Yes, and have the added benefit of a quality of sound often found in an auditorium or recording studio. The womens room is right next to the ref desk and whenever an unsuspecting individual goes in there and doesn't wait for the door to close you can hear everything from gossip to golden showers. hmm, gossip and golden showers...i wonder if i could get googled for that?
