| Reaped | Feeling tired. Depressed. Annoyed with the state of the world. Is anyone else shitting their pants about the world lately? Maybe it's just the summer crazies. Tends to set in when the humidity reaches 99% down here. People get all riled up, stay inside, obsessively check the drudge report to see if any foreign countries have blown themselves up in the past two hours. On the other hand, it's better than thinking about school/work/the move. Macro-paranoia vs. micromanagement. Id vs. superego. Speaking of that. 2 resumes mailed, 2 confirmations of receipt in my inbox. So the wait begins. At this juncture I feel lucky & optimistic: my work is done. Time for others to deconstruct my personality, as presented in the curriculum vitae. Hopefully one will bite, preferably the one starting at 30k. *repeats to self, "i will not become a media specialist. i do not need a job in public education..."* bleh. eyelids heavy. cornea drying from long spells of screen staring. the sunburn is starting to itch. and again, it becomes time to check Reuters news service because, If it's not love, then it's the bomb that will bring us together. |
