5:16 p.m.	cute boys, stupid bosses	2002-01-31
Reaped	nothing to say today. had some great ideas about an hour ago, but they have since vacated my brain. there is one cute boy in my entire grad. program. longish short unkempt brown hair, glasses, penchant for ratty converse and skater shirts. avail patches on his messenger bag. smells like dryer sheets. plays in a ska band when its not even cool anymore. he used to work for reference, but got fired when we had all the budget cuts at the end of last semester. too bad, he was the only one that openly mocked our supervisor's incompetency in meetings. guess that's my job now. actually, to be tangental, our supervisor is deserved of such mockery. type of person who never makes eye contact with anyone. it's kind of amusing to watch her at our meetings, because her eyes just dart back and forth across the carpet. sometimes her head bobs with them. reminds me of stevie wonder. type of person who cancels early morning meetings but doesn't bother to tell any of us about it 'til we get there. this does not make her any more popular, when some of us have been up drinking way past our bedtime. enough tangents, back to objectification. apparently i am the object of affection of one of the guys in technical services. guess all my stories of the UF acquisitions dept. have won his cataloger heart. which is okay, as long as he still thinks i have an s.o. turn downs can be so ugly and uncomfortable. so, my apologies that this entry is not very interesting. it's just that type of day.
