Reaped	Today was the library club's field trip to the Disney libraries. Pretty cool--got to see the 'backlot' of Disney and take a peek at some nifty resources like slides and films and stuff. Disney is interesting. So clean and new. And everything/one is so god damn perky I could puke. Then there is the disney lingo, like 'audition' instead of 'job interview' and 'guest' instead of 'customer'. sadistic semantics. but overall it was very fun and educational AND i (hopefully)managed to set up a fieldwork at the animation studio's library. this means i will work there for free. well actually, i guess i'm paying to work there since i get college credit for it, and that's about 300 bucks per class. how evil is disney, getting ME to pay to work there. but it will be more fun than a regular class and more impressive on the resume for the low wage job i will eventually get. in more lib-related dorkiness, my poster session was accepted for the annual conference, which means (again) more extra work for no pay. we said we'd do something on marketing virtual reference chat, so now we have to set it up so we have something to present about. can i get a weak 'yay'? but anyway, somewhere in the middle of all this there is some sick enjoyment on my part, so it's all good.
