| Reaped | budget rent a car sucks big time. last night i made reservations & the quote was like $180 for the weekend. now its suddenly $450?? WTF!!?? somehow an economy car in nola is an SUV. luckily, i must return to the airport to get mr. XXXX so i will have a little conversation with the rental car people. little sister found the large lady at the desk a little to threatening to speak up about it. but not me! i had the pleasure of buying cigarettes from the eckerd's bitch again today so i'm revved for some confrontation. sorry RDG, but sometimes it has to happen. i'm usually very nice to service personnel, cos' i know how crappy it is to work retail/wait tables/cook for a living, but there's a saturation point. call me a snotty kleenex b/c i'm ready to fight. on another note, nyah-na-nyah-na-nyah-nyaaaah we have press passes to voodoo music fest and yooooouuuuuu doooooon't. and free tix, and free 'press' parking, and an invite to 311's sound check. so, in retrospect, i guess the rental car sodomy makes up for itself in a way. |
