Reaped	i'm thinking i spend way to much time here these days. work i mean. just hatin the world, more especially loathing the subtle gin fragrance i keep burping up. last night was cool. Bloodfreak called in & got to speak to matt groening. his question was going to be how groening feels about bootlegging, but the question screeners on the other end of the phone didn't want him to ask that, in case groening got upset. which in my opinion is completely dick censorship, and pointless too since it was an academic discussion between universities, not like its got paid advertisers who'd pull money or something. you'd think they'd let you ask what you want. they didn't. so instead he asked if groening still watches the show, how much creative input he has now that he's 'stepped back from the hands-on side' (to continue with the dick censors, they told Bloodfreak to also rephrase his second question so it didn't sound like he was accusing groening was selling out. at this point bloodfreak is like, 'whatever you want, i just wanna talk to groening!" wtf? just another example of how the media sucks. not even academia is exempt.) then groening was like, 'tulane, that's a drinking school, isn't it?' and everyone laughed. there is no escape, we are a party school. they are a party school. i just date the party schooler. i only saw the last portion of the chat, but the best story came from one of the writers, i think al jean. remember the the episode where homer gets a computer & uses the email address [email protected]? one of the writers reserved that address, and when the emails started coming in he'd sign them 'homer'. so after a particularly funny episode he gets this message thanking him, saying it was the first thing that had made the viewer laugh since 9/11. to which chunky lover resplies, 'what happened 9/11?' and if you think that's funny you truly know the do'h of homer. but anyway. i think i'm still drunk. gonna pass out hee at my desk for awhile. ah, to have the ability to sleep with my eyes open.
