Reaped some where in here i need to get sober & run off to bed.
today was chock full of that sensation of too many braincells on vacation. but. Free passes to live music make up for it. beth patters0n & 7 nations. good stuff. celts. bedzoukis. dead rabbits. kilts. weezer-like fiddlers doing clogging routines while dread locked drummers conjure way too familar a face from the flickering flames of Magnoliaa fest drum circles.
& the award for wierdest ecnounter of this whole night: b00ne, one of the goth1ndustr1als&m creatures of the quater. last time i said hi to him on a night out i was blown OFF. ignored, fuck you-ed & what have you. but apparntly ignoring him makes him a little more amenable? sociable? attention craving? but then again, why would a pain loving goth want to grace a mere celtic show w/ his unholy presence? he he. twould not be a very gothic thing to do.
the juxtaposition is striking. Imagine, a tall black bald silouhette of combat boots & bondage pants amongst a crowd of tourists in their cargo khakis, cross armed and staring backwards towards the audience, as in front of him 5 guys jammed on their bagpipes fiddles & guitars like nobody's business.
only in new orleans kids, only in new orleans, as ceratin gossip goddesses would say.
in other news, life is good. crushes are fun. ex-crab & i get along. last night a tulane med student hit on him. she's like 'is this your girlfriend?' & he's like, 'ex girlfriend', & she's like, "that's so mature and great!' i say, take him honey. & don't forget you got reciprocal borrowing rights at my library.
hmmmm. mr dj replied to my post card of seduction. This pleases me. My nefarious plans of seduction shall soon begin. muah hah haaaa, evil laughs & all that stuff.
