| Reaped | Chris is irked that i don't talk about him, so here's a funny story. BACK in the summer of '99, when chris was really poor, he decided to go work for a nursery outside of gainesville. this was good, because it helped him lose weight, he got to smoke pot on his lunch break, and he learned a little spanish from the hombres. one day after work, him and his friend greg saw a big ass puddle had formed in the parking lot, and decided it would be a good idea to go play in it. kinda like reliving old playground days or something. so greg goes over, jumps in the mud puddle, and goes "woo-hoo! this is great!" {splash splash splash} chris, not one to abstain when others are being foolish, runs over to the puddle, jumps in, and {crack} promptly lands on his ankle in a very uncomfortable way. so now his ankle hurts AND he's covered with ucky mud. by the time he gets home, the ankle is the size of the baseball. ow, that must hurt, huh? so, he goes to the emergency room, turns out its broken or sprained or something, regardless he must now use crutches and the majority of his lower leg is encased in a cast. he lasted about two more days at the nursery, and was promptly fired for not having two hands free to pot geraniums. no workers comp for him, since it happened after they got off work. the interesting thing was, although he was jobless the rest of the summer, he still managed to always have a bag of ganj and a pack of Camels. The moral of the story is, if you break your ankle and can't work, you can always donate plasma. Such is the nature of chopped liver. |
