| Reaped | my car is making a strange death rattle when i accelerate and farting noxious antifreeze fumes. by the time i made it to prytania, the temp gauge was off the charts. no steam though. that can't be good-hot car usually means smoking car. why, oh why does this have to happen the week i'm everyone's airport chaffeur? crab thinks its a cracked gasket or something equally as horrible & expensive. this sucks as it hasn't even been a year since the last major overhaul, which means it may be new car time for mysterious mo. otherwise, today was pretty good. we're holding orientation classes for the NLM at the library so i got to play hostess today. we went to the cafeteria for lunch, and one of the ladies is like, 'so, are you a student here?' and i'm like, 'nooo, i'm one of those fresh-cheeked recruits the library journals are all talking about these days.' she looked kinda embarrassed but it was cool, playing the hostess means you just gotta shrug it off. and i mean, i do look like i'm only 16 years old. barely legal librarians, get 'em here while they're young and hot. then buy them a new car |
